Here are the Hailmary top
ten horse betting tips in no particular order.
- Bet
on horses that have won races before.
- Avoid
betting on a horse that has just moved up in class.
- Look
for a horse that has a decent chance of winning but is not
bet on too heavy.
- Avoid
hyped horses.
- Look
for value bets, not the most likely to win.
- When
the track is slow or heavy, give preference to fast
starters.
- Be
selective - don't bet on every race.
- If a
horse is heavily backed just a few minutes before the
start of the race it is a strong indication that somebody
has reliable favorable information.

Always give preference to a horse that has run recently.
- Give
extra weight to an experienced jockey on longer distance
races. A jockey's ability assumes greater importance as
the distance increases.
